How to Export All Exhibitor Links Using Clay Extension's Autodetected Lists

·
·

Hi Team Clay, how do I make sure that when using the Clay extension to scrape attending companies for an event from an exhibitor page with 700+ listed companies, using ‘Autodetected Lists,’ it exports the links of each exhibitor in Clay? Right now, some are successful, but many cells are empty

To ensure the Clay extension exports all exhibitor links without empty cells, try these steps: 1. Open the Clay Chrome Extension on the exhibitor page. 2. Use the "Autodetected Lists" feature first, as it often works well for structured data. If some cells are still empty: 1. Click "Select Data to Add from Page" in the extension. 2. Create a custom recipe (e.g., "Exhibitor List Recipe"). 3. Set the URL pattern for the exhibitor page. 4. Select two items from the list to activate the list selector. 5. Choose the specific attributes you want, including the exhibitor links. 6. Review the preview to ensure all data is captured. 7. Save your recipe and add the data to your workspace. This custom approach should help capture all exhibitor links. If issues persist, request human assistance for further troubleshooting.

Some tradeshow companies are making it much harder to scrape lists, especially if the exhibitor lists are being hidden with javascript

For tradeshow pages with JavaScript-hidden exhibitor lists, try these steps: 1. Use the Clay Chrome Extension's "Select Data to Add from Page" feature. 2. Create a custom recipe (e.g., "Tradeshow Exhibitors Recipe"). 3. Set the URL pattern for the exhibitor page. 4. Manually select two items from the list to activate the list selector. 5. Choose specific attributes you want to scrape (e.g., company name, booth number, website). 6. Review the preview to ensure all data is captured. 7. Save your recipe and add the data to your workspace. If the JavaScript-hidden content doesn't load immediately, use the "Delay Before Scraping" option to wait for the page to fully load. If issues persist, you may need to request human assistance for further troubleshooting.
