Seeking Accurate Data on Business Google Ads Activity

Hey, I'm trying to figure out if businesses are running google ads or not. Unfortunately, the builtwith application sometimes claims that a company is running ads, when in reality, they stopped months ago (the tech is still reflected in builtwith). Any way to get some more accurate data?
