Error: Find Recent Posts by User or Company I have a table to monitor my ICP's LinkedIn profiles. It was working for a few months and seems to have stopped recently and no longer fetches recent posts... Is this universal or a special bug for me?
Hi Charles, thanks for reaching out! It looks like this column is running correctly, but this enrichment has a post date filter applied of 4 days ago. Because there were no posts made in this time frame, the enrichment is returning "No Posts Found." If you would like to find all of their past 10 posts, you can remove this date filter! Let me know if this helps! https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1239328702/1f6e3f365018353f9951244b3e00/CleanShot+2024-11-04+at+11_57_12%402x.png?expires=1730741400&signature=d7ae388f073d0e8f131ca2805dbafe2159952fc405eec2c886ff9d063051deac&req=dSIkH8p8lYZfW%2FMW1HO4zS6e%2Fq8BLQ9K%2Fvgyj%2F%2FtL7VDadkXYZ5hzIFBw02A%0AfIdd%0A
Tanvi R. It doesnt. Its a bug. Row 1037 and 1038 have both posted in the last few days. One of these is a Clay employee you will know. The other is myself. The enrichment is not pulling current posts. Please check then escalate appropriately.
You're right Charles, thanks for clarifying here, this definitely is a bug as even without the date filter no posts are being found. Please note that this enrichment does not pull reposts but only original posts made by users. Row 1037 for example definitely has some original posts that should be pulled. I've escalated this over to our engineering team and we'll let you know as soon as we know more!
Any update Tanvi R.?
Hey there Charles thanks for reaching out, just heard from the team that there is a fix in the works for this issue.
Any update on the fix?
Hello Charles! No updates yet, we will let you know as soon as we have more updates from the eng team.
Any update on this?
Hey Charles. Apologies for the delay. Our Engineering team is actively working with the provider to resolve this issue. Weβre aiming to conclude the final updates by next week. We truly appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience caused.
This has been down from the 17th of October... Honestly it's the enrichment I use the most.
Hey there Charles totally understand this a roadblock here. Will ping the provider again to ask for an update.
Any update?
Hello Charles! We've made some progress on this issue, but it is unlikely it will get fixed this week. The current goal is to have it fixed by the end of next week.
Update?
Hey LuisArturo and Bo (. was this fixed? Facing the same issue myself now. First row for example, it pulled a random post from July 2024 - and the user has posted A LOT over last few weeks and months. I didn't put any post date filter either. Would appreciate any help? https://app.clay.com/workspaces/361712/tables/t_EQAZ8bJZu7yK/views/gv_UwJBJzyBtWsf
Hi Charles, thank you for reaching out. I recommend using a Claygent operator or ChatGPT to retrieve the latest post instead. Many users have had success prompting Claygent to locate the most recent post from a LinkedIn URL. Let me know if you need assistance setting this up. I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the post feature not working properly; our engineers are actively working on a fix.
Hi Stefano this claybook in theory is very good, but it doesn't work either because it uses the 'find recent posts by user' enrichment and I set the tables up as per the vide instructions but it is not pulling all posts from 2024 for example. https://www.clay.com/claybooks/influencers Is this claybook obsolete until the 'find recent posts by user' enrichment works properly?
Hi, I believe that the claybook would still probably work if instead of using the find User posts enrichment, you created a Claygent column that did the exact same function. This is because Claygent is still able to access the web and retrieve the same type of information that the "Find User Posts" would be able to find. Let me know if you would like help setting a Claygent column up.
Hi Stefano yes some help would be good as on another table, I got no results. Here is the table I created earlier following the claybook guide - https://app.clay.com/workspaces/361712/tables/t_A7EDQuKSiFSh/views/gv_Z393bAPqqbYz
Hi Charles, hat I would do is create a Claygent column instead of the "Find User Posts". In order to do so, select "Add Column">"Use AI". https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1276918716/e836627b13ca59b7535c60c4d0d3/CleanShot%2B2024-12-04%2Bat%2B15_31_35-402x.png?expires=1736260200&signature=da7300b89944b477ad40af967edcbefd19fd88ea31498271dd9074457efa2122&req=dSIgEMB%2FlYZeX%2FMW1HO4zXMPeyZwcBVzNjOO8RBYh8YqGA%3D%3D%0A Following this, select "Web research (Claygent)" and then, under "Model" select one of the three Claygent options below. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1276918714/de4ecb323c6dfd2fc33931cc1850/CleanShot%2B2024-12-04%2Bat%2B15_32_02-402x.png?expires=1736260200&signature=df2fe1f1be727b75a9f72b3fc1ecf5a2fd4890fa7d14fdf6407f08f685cd0515&req=dSIgEMB%2FlYZeXfMW1HO4zb5QBsyq1winFAbE7VnbFo%2Fqzg%3D%3D%0A Under "prompt" instruct Claygent what you want it to do. In this case, tell it to return the text of the most recent post. Make sure to provide it with the LinkedIN URL, as it will then use that to find the LinkedIn page and scrape it. Remember that to input information that is stored in a column, you will have to use /column_name format. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1276918717/5816ce54e4a0a604e95178bb1e0d/CleanShot%2B2024-12-04%2Bat%2B15_32_30-402x.png?expires=1736260200&signature=ae9ac11e70b23225397991ce6ce38fe06da5ca69837dc58fa22ccc319f745ebe&req=dSIgEMB%2FlYZeXvMW1HO4zfM4pFqDBUtFHfZLUDWGP6XpeQ%3D%3D%0A Once you have created your prompt, press on "Save"> "Save and run 10 rows". This will show you the result for the first ten rows. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1276918715/2356ad927dfedaa944338d4892cc/CleanShot%2B2024-12-04%2Bat%2B15_32_35-402x.png?expires=1736260200&signature=262c2c62048fb880bb5a4455adc9ad3ee7de1ad3c1c0db1e8e78ccb0dbf68f2e&req=dSIgEMB%2FlYZeXPMW1HO4zdxbbWMYQy27TcgY15Fq0BsxEQ%3D%3D%0A Let me know if this helps!
Hi Stefano what prompt would you use? Did you see my prompt and the output I shared in the table? It didn't pull all the posts.. can you recommend or create the prompt?
Please check my table - Here is the table I created earlier following the claybook guide - https://app.clay.com/workspaces/361712/tables/t_A7EDQuKSiFSh/views/gv_Z393bAPqqbYz
And my prompt
Hi Charles, sorry for the delay. You cannot set this up directly in clay at the moment. However tools like Phantombuster & Apify.com have scrapers that can pull follower data and the results can be imported through the integration. However, both options use your live session cookies which may risk your LI account. Let me know if this helps. β I found this actor (https://apify.com/curious_coder/linkedin-post-search-scraper) , for example, which should get the job done for your specific use case. Apify integrates with Clay, so you'll be able to build tables based on Apify actor runs, or trigger actor runs at strategic points in your workflow. Here's how you can set up a Clay table from an Apify actor run: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1294872735/e4b451582ec70056285964fd7061/CleanShot-2B2024-08-06-2Bat-2B15_48_57.gif?expires=1736413200&signature=1546dd69ec7eeeaeb9b85c57a1e54bd058444e398778372d967fb61550630218&req=dSIuEsF5n4ZcXPMW1HO4zSdBTkEglpuaA%2FVYBjzKXQtrzw%3D%3D%0A And here's how you can trigger an Apify actor in an active workflow: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1294872739/69388a285e719a6318d80fc73690/CleanShot-2B2024-08-07-2Bat-2B11_15_01.gif?expires=1736413200&signature=0f813361bc9209e5db52cd289d76cad73335e144cd6af134781f2a2a448a5a83&req=dSIuEsF5n4ZcUPMW1HO4zcOYYLiRmQQNudNkFJZ7RzAlZw%3D%3D%0A For the trigger-based approach you'll likely have to study the documentation of the specific actor, to see what JSON payload it expects to trigger the run. β I hope this was helpful. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know!
Just a heads-up, this solution could potentially lead to your account being flagged or even deleted, as it could go against LinkedIn's Terms of Service. With a free plan, the risk is higher, but itβs less likely with a paid account. It's something to keep in mind when using this approach.
