Bizarre Workbook Bugs: Misleading Data and Failed Prospecting

·
·

All, I have 2 pretty bizarre bugs on my workbook.

  1. 1.

I copied this workbook, including the find people enrichments from another workbook. I guess it also copies over the find people search IDs from the other workbook. After running this workbook with new input data, it ended up pulling prospects from my original workbook (AKA not related to this client), which is totally weird behavior. It also enriched this contact data, probably costing me around 1.5K in credits

  2. 2.

The search also totally failed to prospect any of the actual companies I'd like to find contacts at

To resolve these issues, try the following steps: 1. Create a new workbook instead of copying an existing one. This will ensure you start with a clean slate. 2. Set up a new "Find People" action in your new workbook: • Go to "Actions" and select "Find people at these companies" • Choose your company table and select the correct column (domain or LinkedIn URL) • Set your search parameters for the desired prospects 3. Use the "Exclude" feature to prevent pulling incorrect prospects: • In the "Find People" action, look for the "Exclude" section • Select the table containing the incorrect prospects you want to exclude • Choose matching criteria (e.g., social URL or domain) This approach should help you find the correct contacts for your intended companies while avoiding duplicates from other workbooks. creating a new workbook is quite a bit more time than copying over an existing one. It's pretty unexpected behavior for a copied workbook to mix data feeds with the original workbook

    Hi Sanath,

When checking the Find People Search, it's finding results from the same workbook inside the "company over a thousand" table, which explains why it's bringing those results. Looking at the "company thousands" table, it appears to be a list that was uploaded via CSV. Are you suggesting that list remained there?

Could you explain a bit more about what you mean when you say the search totally failed?

I completely understand that errors can happen, and I'm happy to add 1500 credits back to your account.
