Trouble finding websites in Clay database for uploaded companies | 1400+ credits redeemed for minimal results

I uploaded a list of companies to Clay with company names, states, zips, a lot of phone, address, etc. Simply asking for websites and redeemed 1400+ credits to get nothing but shopify.com (erroneously), and could not find, etc. What am I doing wrong. I used the recipe for finding domains and linkedin profiles and got none out of 642 rows. There we go, maybe the input for finding domains was off but I see that it was changed to run a search based on Company Names. I ran it for you so it would update and seems to be a lot better, although many of these may not have their own but are just a branch of a larger company.

The input for finding domains might've been a different column instead of the company names themselves which was the required input.

Did I perhaps confuse the system when I changed the reference field from Account Name to Company name after the upload? Also, does the domain lookup feature also use attribtues such as address or phone number to help with domain lookup accuracy?

Hey! Thanks for the follow-up. I'm uncertain what inputs were given to these providers to find the domain because there's no history I can review but based on the repeat values, it would appear that one of the inputs was referencing something else other than the company's name which may have caused this

The lookup would need to find a matching value for it to establish a connection, yes
