is there any way that I can use Chatgpt in Clay to scrape a URL I provide and identify the most likely decision maker listed on that URL? i.e. I would have one column with the specific URL (for example the About Us Page of a company) and in the next collumn, I would like chatgtpt to provide the name of a decision maker listed on that page
Yes! You can find decision makers from URLs using Clay. Here's how it works:1. Clay provides a template specifically designed for finding decision makers using just a company URL 2. The process involves: • Setting your desired job title for the decision maker • Adding your target company domains/URLs • Clay will then use a combination of web scraping and Google search to find the decision makers • The system will also find their work email through waterfall enrichmentYou can get started by copying the free template available at Clay to automate this process. The solution combines Clay's website scraping capabilities with OpenAI/GPT integration to process and analyze the data effectively. I actually have lists where each company already comes with a set of emails (that were all already scraped from the website) So I am looking to use Clay, or chatgpt in Clay, to validate which email address (out of 5-10 email addresses usually provided) are the decision maker so I can feed Chatgpt the available email addresses I already scraped as well as the URLs on the website where those emails can be found, and would like it to identify based on the info it can find on the website, which out of those emails belongs to a decision maker is that also possible? Thank you
Yes, you can use Clay's OpenAI/GPT integration to analyze your pre-scraped email addresses and URLs to identify decision makers. Clay allows you to ask ChatGPT questions using your input data and context clues to generate responses. You can use Clay's AI capabilities to:1. Research and analyze unstructured data from your provided website URLs 2. Categorize and segment the email addresses based on the information found 3. Identify which contacts are likely decision makers based on the context from the web pages Sources: Data points: Contact Linkedin URL | Clay.com FAQ | Clay.com
Hey, thanks for reaching out - Let us know if you have more questions!
yes I have some more questions
Perfect - How can we help you?
would this be the right approach:
one collumn contains all the info of the email and the corresponding URLs where they can be foudn
now I would create a new chatgpt collumn, and write a prompt that asks it to find the decision maker using the emails and URLs provided
would that be right approach here? Please advise
thank you - does either of the chatgpt models have internet access as well so I could achieve the same with an chatgpt API integration?
Yes you need to use the "we research" (claygent) to go on the internet :) https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1301662766/6998435d4cd604906670c767ae7d/CleanShot+2024-12-17+at+_2518YNKYgc%402x.png?expires=1734457500&signature=c5cb6577379ec7b412092145b0c8fae6b3b838bb1826a4dc3e9157da8a2048f8&req=dSMnF894n4ZZX%2FMW1HO4zfbiIkeBqWaFIuyYmMRGAJS3GTBKCy41fsAzpNgE%0Abofg%0A
I mean i am looking for a method that uses the chatgpt integration but does not cost credits
is the claygent the only available tool for me to go on the internet?
Yes, with this, since it's using ChatGPT, you can connect your own ChatGPT account and use it with your own OpenAI credits :) You need to copy your API Key with them and connect it here: [App: Article Inserter]
