Why can't I see the LinkedIn integration in my account? Is it because I am currently using a trial account?
2. Can I find people who are not my LinkedIn "1st connection" and import/insert only those people into a table? 3. If not, how can I find the linkedin connection status (1st, 2nd, 3rd)?
👋 Hey there! Our support team has got your message - we'll be back in touch within 24 hours (often sooner!). If you haven't already, please include the URL of your table in this thread so that we can help you as quickly as possible!
Hey, thanks for reaching out! 1. Clay has made a few changes to its user interface in the last several days. Clay contains all the same data it did before, but we removed the logos of some companies like Linkedin so we don’t imply they endorse our service. We will continue to provide you with the highest quality data, even if the product looks a little different. 2.If you want to extract data from your own LinkedIn account, like your friend list or connections, you can connect to providers like Apify or Phantombuster. However, please be cautious—LinkedIn isn’t very supportive of this, so we generally recommend avoiding it. Let me know if you need more information! 👍
Thanks for your answer. I am an headhunter and i want to find qualifed candidates for open positions that i have. What is your recommondation of using linkedin in Clay for that? What do you mean "LinkedIn isn’t very supportive of this" dont you have an API that the data is extracted from it? Thanks
Hey Inbar! Thanks for the reply. To clarify, we don't integrate with LinkedIn to provide company/people data. We integrate with multiple data providers to provide this. The data you can access from our third-party data providers may include data that can also be found on LinkedIn. If you're looking for this type of data, we recommend starting with the "Find People" and "Find Company" sources in Clay. However, It's currently not possible to apply a "connection" filter to the find people search. You can use tools like Apify.com or Phantombuster (resource here: https://phantombuster.com/automations/linkedin/12670/linkedin-connections-export) to extract this directly from LinkedIn. However, these tools use your live session cookies and because LinkedIn does not support scraping activity, running this too often may result in your account getting blocked. Let me know if you have any questions.
