Hey has anyone run into this: Access blocked: clay.com has not completed the Google verification process when trying to link their gmail account?
This happens when you're trying to connect your Gmail account to our email sequencer but your Google Workspace admin hasn't authorized the Clay Sequencer app for your domain yet. [1]
You'll need to have your Workspace admin authorize the Clay Sequencer app for your domain to resolve this access error.
Are you using a personal Gmail account or a Google Workspace/business account?
My personal account
Got it - since you're using a personal Gmail account, this isn't a Workspace admin issue. The "Access blocked" error with personal Gmail accounts typically happens when you're signed into Google with an account that was created using Google Authentication.
Try logging into Clay using the "Continue with Google" button instead of entering your email and password. This should resolve the access issue you're seeing.
Are you currently trying to log in by typing your email address, or are you using the Google sign-in button?
If you still need help resolving the access issue with your Gmail account, I’m here to assist. Would you like to provide more details about what you’re trying to achieve or any other difficulties you’re facing?
When i continue with google it still returns the same error, i've tried both typing my email address and using the google sign in button
Let's try clearing your browser cache first - this often resolves persistent access errors.
If that doesn't work, since you're getting this error with both login methods, you might need to switch your account from Google Authentication to password-based login. This requires contacting our support team to make the change on your account.
After clearing your cache, are you still seeing the exact same "Access blocked: clay.com has not completed the Google verification process" message?
I’m sorry this issue is persisting and hope the suggestions so far have been helpful. Would you like to share more about what you’re trying to resolve or any other details so I can assist you further?
