Advanced News Scouring Tool: Get Full Stories and Snippets with Claygent

So, I'm trying to scour the web for news stories related to the prospect company and certain themes such as digital transformation, security breaches, etc. I was using the find news stories function, but it's only giving me snippets and in the snippets it doesn't mention where the company and keyword are mentioned? Is there a better way to do this where I can see preferably the whole story along with a snippet of where the company and topic was mentioned? Can I use claygent for this?

Hi Dominick, thanks for reaching out! If you want the whole story, you can scrape the link via Clay's "Scrape Website" or Zenrows

Thanks Joseph, I'm returning five or six stories for each company and I want to do a summary and analysis of each of those to figure out which has the topic area that's most closely tied to my client's value proposition. If I just did scrape website, that's going to get pretty expensive. Is there a way to do this with claygent where it looks at all the links I provide and then tells me which most closely aligns with the value prop? Or at least gives me a snippet of where the company and keywords I searched are mentioned?

Hey Dominick, jumping in here too! I do think Claygent may be able to do this for you and return some insights about the news. Modifying the prompt a bit so it's as consistent as it can ensure most of the records you run this for are also returning what you need.

Is there a way to structure the way that Claygent returns it's results and data for me, perhaps spread out over columns with examples? I feel like I saw a video on this, but couldn't figure it out when actually using claygent.

There was a mode you could enable but was not working well for Claygent. The best way is to specify in the prompt the format it should use to return the values, and then use the formula generator to extract each section into separate columns. chatGPT does have a JSON mode if you ever need it though: JSON mode in chatGPT: https://www.loom.com/share/317de47023fb429a80022de0f4a5d6dc
