Understanding Filter Rule Limitations in Data Columns

Β·
Β·

hey there, I'm curious why certain filter rules like 'greater than' or 'greater than or equal to' are only available on certain columns. I used to be able to sort employee count, for example, by employee count is 'greater than' 5 and 'less than or equal to' 20.

Different filter options are available based on the type of data in each column. For number columns, you can use comparison operators like 'equal to', 'not equal to', 'greater than', 'greater than or equal to', 'less than', 'less than or equal to', 'is empty', and 'is not empty'. Text columns have different options like 'equal to', 'not equal to', 'contains', 'does not contain', 'is empty', and 'is not empty'. Source: Hide, Re-order, Sort, Filter, Merge Columns
