Clarification Needed on Clay's Pricing Model and Search Limitations
I’m a bit confused about Clay’s pricing model. We’re currently on the “Starter” plan, which includes “Up to 5,000/search” for People/Company searches. Does this mean that we can perform up to 5,000 searches per month, or is it limited to 5,000 results per individual search execution, meaning that we can do as many searches we want? Here’s our scenario: we have 500 companies in our table, and we plan to use the “Find Contacts at Company” feature using LinkedIn URL as a source. If we run the search against all 500 companies in one go, it’s likely that the results will exceed the 5,000 limit. Given the following settings: - Search result limit: 5,000 - Limit per company: 100 contacts How does Clay handle these results? Does it retrieve one contact per company in rounds until the 5,000 limit is reached, or does it fetch up to the limit per company first? Additionally, how does Clay sort contact results from company LinkedIn URL as a source? For example, if we’re filtering for specific roles like “Seniority,” how does it prioritize which roles to fetch first? If we perform a search against all 500 companies and hit the 5,000 result limit, what happens if we run the enrichment again? Will Clay find new contacts, or will it apply the same query logic and return the same results as before? Lastly, what would be the best approach to ensure that we get all the relevant contacts for our 500 companies? Is it needed to apply some filtering to the company table first, and run enrichment in smaller batches? Are there any best practices you recommend for this type of search given previous numbers? I’m asking following questions up-front as I don’t want to burn our possible monthly limits by exploring. Thank you for the help!
