I am completely new to Clay and am supposed to familiarize myself with a complex finished table. In one column of this table screenshots of websites are/were created and entered. These have now expired... How can I delete the column content and thus generate new screenshots?
👋 Hey there! Our support team has got your message - we'll be back in touch soon. If you haven't already, please include the URL of your table in this thread so that we can help you as quickly as possible!
Hey there, thanks for reaching out! Could you specify which column you're referring to where the data has expired? Happy to take a closer look :)
I see the "Screenshot url" column is still working, just to clarify is this the data you would like to replace?
First of all, thank you very much! Yes exactly, it's about the screenshot url. Generating the screenshots works. The problem is that the screenshots have expired. I have generated new ones, but new screenshot links were only generated in the empty or incorrect cells. The expired ones are still there...
Thanks for the clarification! 😊 It sounds like you’ve regenerated screenshots, but the expired links are still present in some cells. If I understand correctly, those expired links are dynamic values, meaning they were added via the API but didn’t update when you regenerated the screenshots. To fix this: 1. Force Re-run: You can force re-run the columns with the expired screenshots to generate new ones. 2. Change Dynamic Values: Use the forward slash (”/”) feature to modify or refresh the dynamic values in the cells where the expired screenshots remain. If I’ve misunderstood or if the issue persists, feel free to send me a Loom video, and I’d be happy to assist further! Let me know how it goes! 👍
Does the force re-run mean that the screenshot is forced for each cell? Actually, there is another check that is there to ensure that it is only executed for cells if another cell has a certain value. Is this then simply ignored or does the force re-run take the check into account?
The behavior depends on how your screenshot provider handles refreshes. Some providers generate a fresh screenshot every time they are called, while others might return a cached version. When you force re-run the rows, it will send a new request to the provider. This will only apply to rows that meet the conditions you’ve set. So, if there’s a check in place (like another cell having a certain value), the force re-run will respect that condition and only re-run for eligible rows. Let me know if you need further clarification! 😊
Does a professional have time to skype with me for 1-2 hours for a fee to explain my table and get it up and running?
