Clarification Needed on Automatic Job Updates in Clay

Got myself a little bit confused here and wanted some clarification on how clay works. I have manually created a table by finding jobs with specific criteria and have setup a Company Enrich and AI action on the table. I was hoping that the table could automatically add new jobs found that meet the criteria periodically. Is this possible / enabled? I see the auto-update option in the bottom right but that looks to be referring to auto running the enrichments when I edit the table which is good, but not what I am specifically looking for here.

Hey! Just to clarify how the auto-updating works right now - This is a feature for the table to update runs if they have dependencies so you can have a better workflow. You can't automatically add new jobs that match your criteria periodically yet, though we're working on making that happen soon. For now, to get new jobs into your table, you'll need to manually edit your source and adjust the parameters. This triggers a fresh search that can bring in new data. I know this isn't quite what you were hoping for with the automation, but the good news is that the auto-update feature you see in the bottom right will still help by automatically running your enrichments and AI actions whenever the table changes. PS: Keep an eye out - that automatic job finding feature you want is coming soon!

Thanks for the quick reply - no big deal, set a calendar reminder for next month to search for more jobs. Is there any table type that does support auto updating?

Thank you for the follow up, James! Yep, as Bo mentioned, that feature is in the works so hopefully very soon! Currently, how other people set this up is by leveraging external scrapers that can run on a schedule i.e. Apify.com, which you can setup to scrape specific searches in job boards. You can then have it import directly into a Clay table, where it auto-pulls new records every 24hrs and continue enriching from there. We don't have a specific guide on how to setup Apify itself as it's an external tool, but people who create the scrapers often include guides on the setup. In Clay you would just connect your account.
