Hey. first sales rep in a startup. trying to build a list of accounts and prospects to go after. on the trial I've found 100 companies, but when I'm using "find people in those companies" there's only 67 - which doesn't makes sense, how can i fix that? trying to avoid manually prospecting. also, can someone walk me through the actual process of using Clay for outbound?
The "Find people" feature requires companies to have either a domain or LinkedIn URL to search for employees. Some of your 100 companies likely don't have this information populated. For outbound prospecting in Clay: 1. Start by finding companies using filters (industry, headcount, location) 2. Create focused lists of 1,000-3,000 people for effective testing 3. Use "Find people at these companies" to discover prospects 4. Set search parameters like title, location, or experience 5. Clay automatically links company data to people tables, letting you reference company attributes in your outreach To fix your current issue, ensure all companies have domains or LinkedIn URLs populated.
