I'm looking to bring on a full-time GTM Engineer freelancer (40 hrs/week, fully remote, US-based) for 4–5 months, to focus on top-of-funnel lead gen at Unstructured alongside our Growth and BD team. This person will own the entire pre-meeting GTM engineering layer: → Clay end-to-end: enrichment pipelines, AI workflows, golden record builds → Nooks: outbound sequence architecture, play execution, deliverability → Signal-to-sequence pipeline: intent signals in, activated plays out → HubSpot pre-deal: lead scoring, MQL logic, lifecycle stages, Marketing → BDR handoff → ICP & persona implementation across the full outbound stack This person will need to confidently hold full ownership of the growth engineering seat at a Series B AI infrastructure company. Looking for someone with deep Clay experience, outbound play architecture chops, and comfort shipping signal-focused automations into production. Pls DM if interested! We work with an agency that we'd onboard/pay you through. More details below
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own Clay end-to-end as the backbone of the Growth stack: every enrichment workflow, table, function, contact golden record pipeline, and AI-powered row. Clay is your primary tool - you live in it.
Own Nooks as the outbound execution platform: sequence management, play activation, rep task queues, and deliverability health. You are the admin, architect, and operator.
Own the full signal-to-sequence pipeline: collect and normalize intent signals (Reo, Statsig PLG, job changes, tech stack, social listening), score them in Clay, and activate them in Nooks - end to end, no handoffs.
Own implementation of our ICPs and personas across the entire pre-deal stack (HubSpot, Nooks, Clay, LinkedIn): you define the targeting criteria that every outbound play runs on.
Design, build, and iterate all prospecting plays: ATL (task-based) and BTL (auto-email) - own targeting logic, enrollment criteria, play architecture, and conversion measurement.
Own HubSpot pre-deal: MQL thresholds, lead scoring, lifecycle stage logic, and the Marketing → BDR handoff. Everything in the CRM before a deal is created is your domain.
Build in line with our attribution framework.
Use Claude Code to build and maintain AI-powered enrichment workflows, buyer intent briefs, and signal activation pipelines - ship things that run in production.
Own the PLG-to-Sales bridge in conjunction with Growth and Product: maintain the logic that converts Statsig product signals into sales-ready actions.
YOUR STACK You will be the primary owner and operator of these tools for the duration of the engagement:
Clay - enrichment, scoring, AI workflows, golden record pipeline
Nooks - outbound sequences, play execution, rep task management
Reo - intent signal ingestion and account-level tracking
HubSpot (pre-deal) - lead lifecycle, MQL workflows, marketing automation, attribution
LinkedIn Sales Navigator - targeting and persona validation
Gong - discovery call scoring and transcript analysis
Claude Code - custom integrations, AI pipelines, automation
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
3+ years in growth operations, marketing operations, or top-of-funnel GTM engineering at a B2B SaaS company
Deep Clay experience: workflows, tables, HTTP functions, enrichment pipelines, and AI-powered rows
Experience with intent signal activation (Reo, Bombora, G2, or similar)
Proficiency with AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) - must have shipped automations or integrations to production that a team actually uses
Experience with outbound play architecture: sequence targeting, enrollment logic, A/B experimentation, and play-level measurement
Experience with HubSpot pre-deal CRM: lead scoring, lifecycle stages, MQL workflows, and marketing automation
Experience with lead routing design and Marketing → BDR → AE handoff logic
Ability to maintain and iterate existing systems, not just greenfield builds - you're inheriting a live stack
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with PLG-to-Sales motions and product signal activation (Statsig, Amplitude, or similar)
Familiarity with Gong and call intelligence workflows
Experience at a developer-focused or open-source company
Experience with n8n or similar workflow automation tools
THE ENGAGEMENT
4-5 month contract beginning mid-April 2026, covering a paternity leave
Full ownership of the Growth engineering seat - you're not augmenting a team, you're running the function
Work directly with the Head of GTM and GTM Engineer, Sales Ops at a Series B AI infrastructure company
Existing systems to maintain and an active pipeline to protect - meaningful, high-stakes work from day one
