Request for LinkedIn URL Import Feature in Chrome Extension

·
·

Hey Clay - Is there a feature on the roadmap with the Chrome extension to load on linkedin so that we can import a LinkedIn URL into a table so that we can enrich and then import it into HubSpot, etc. Currently I’m having to import profiles by copying and pasting their linked URL each time into a table.

Yes, this functionality already exists! You can use our Clip to Clay Chrome extension to add LinkedIn profile URLs directly to your Clay table. Here's what you can do: 1. Install the Clip to Clay extension from the Chrome Web Store 2. Use the extension to quickly save LinkedIn URLs to your Clay table 3. Once the data is imported, you can enrich it and use the "write to table" feature to send the results to your desired table The Clip to Clay extension is specifically designed for clipping LinkedIn contacts into Clay tables for enrichment purposes, which should help streamline your current copy-paste workflow.

But what is the next vital step is to see if we can see if this contact or Linkedin URL is already in our hubspot from the chrome extension

Currently, the Chrome extension itself doesn't have the direct functionality to check if a LinkedIn contact already exists in HubSpot. However, you can use Clay's HubSpot integration to look up contacts in your HubSpot CRM. To check if contacts exist in HubSpot, you'll need to: 1. First clip the LinkedIn profiles to your Clay table using the Chrome extension 2. Add a HubSpot lookup column to your table 3. Use this to verify if the contacts already exist in your HubSpot database This process allows you to systematically check for existing HubSpot records before creating new ones.

While Clay has robust HubSpot lookup capabilities through our platform integrations, there isn't currently a direct way to check HubSpot records from within the Chrome extension itself. You can check if contacts exist in HubSpot by: 1. Using the Chrome extension to save LinkedIn profiles to your Clay table 2. Adding a HubSpot lookup column to check for existing records using either: • Email address • First and last name • Phone number • Contact ID This integration helps maintain data consistency between Clay and HubSpot before creating new records.

I understand your concern about navigating multiple tabs. Is there anything specific I can clarify about our app's functionality to help improve your experience?

You're actually describing a feature which is already available through a separate Clay chrome extension called "clip to clay". Here's where you can download it: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/clip-to-clay/peaelamodldoacgjbgemamnljcjehiif This extension will allow you to clip linkedin profiles to a clay table for further enrichment. Here's a guide on how to use it: https://www.clay.com/university/guide/clip-to-clay-extension I hope this was helpful. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know!
