hey anyone? I recently used the feature to check LinkedIn connection degrees. I just found a contact, and by viewing their LinkedIn profile link, I confirmed that they are a 1st-degree connection — meaning I can message them directly. However, when I ran a relationship check using AI in the Clay backend — including both GPT-4o and other models — the result consistently indicated that this person is not one of my contacts. This clearly contradicts what is shown on LinkedIn. Is this a bug? Where might the problem lie?
Hello Tony! Thanks for reaching out. Can you redirect me to the table where you found the Linkedin connection degrees? I checked your AI column response and it suggests that it was not able to access or analyze the profile. My initial thought process is that is not a connection issue but a prompt engineering issue. We might have to tweak the prompt to ensure it is able to access the Linkedin and give a true answer. Once we fix that if it says there is no connection, we can further look into the Linkedin connection degree feature. Once you direct me to that column, I can troubleshoot this further for you!
