Cost-effective Strategies for Monitoring 10-K Releases on Target Accounts

Hey folks, curious to know how one might "listen" for certain signals for a large target account list without incurring high credit usage? I have a clay table which scans company 10k's, and each row is relatively costly at say ~30 credits. If I have a target account list of 20,000 accounts, scheduling it to run weekly would incur high usage. 10k's are released on an annual ish basis with inexact dates, so I couldn't tell the row to update on [original 10k release date]+[365 days]. Is there some other input or data source I could use, so that the row only runs when an account's 10k is released?

To optimize credit usage while monitoring 10k releases for your large account list, here are a few strategies you can use: 1. Instead of scheduling weekly runs for all 20,000 accounts, you can: β€’ Use the "Run First 10 Columns" option to test your setup with a smaller subset β€’ Run only rows that haven't run or have errors by right-clicking the column and selecting "Play" β€’ Run specific batches by choosing the number of rows and starting position 2. To track credit spend: β€’ Right-click on the column and select "Run Info" to see a summary of credits spent on that specific column Unfortunately, there isn't currently a built-in way to automatically trigger runs based on 10k release dates. You may want to request human support to discuss additional optimization strategies for your specific use case.

    Hey there,

I'd recommend setting up Google Alerts that feed into an RSS stream. This way, you'll get them when the 10Ks are actually published, and they can trigger your Clay table to run enrichment just for those specific companies. The process would work like this: Google Alerts detects the 10K release β†’ sends it to your RSS feed β†’ triggers the enrichment only for the relevant company rows in Clay. This targeted approach means you're only spending credits when there's actually new data to analyze. Let me know if you need help setting up the alerts or connecting the RSS feed to your Clay workflow!
