Incredibly frustrating the “Failed to parse body input” error and how every time you need to make a change, see if it works, if it doesn’t make another change and so on…
Hi Andrei, thanks for reaching out! Do you mind sending the link to the table so we can take a look? https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1171717996/ac7729f84b426e1d0358af02/image.png?expires=1729805400&signature=ddef745c6a86bd23137d001bdccf134191e67c22b026e572112f310e65357301&req=dSEgF85%2FmohWX%2FMW1HO4zYTywCL0BpIS2BKsam%2FhVPvjfw%3D%3D%0A Happy to take a look at your body input and get it set up correctly!
I made it work eventually but I hit this problem almost on a daily basis and it’s always time consuming to do some trial and error…vs when I try to run something like this in Postman I get an error but it’s pointing me into the right direct, an extra/missing comma or a bracket is not closed or something like that, but at least I know where to look
I totally understand your concern Andrei, body parse errors still frustrate me! That's really interesting how Postman directs you towards the specific error and I'd love to share this example with our team as we're always looking to make the product better. Do you have a screenshot or video of how this works in Postman that I can share with them? A visual will make it easiest to understand!
I’ll keep in mind to make a printscreen next time I see it
I just bumped into something using Postman and got this error “{”error”:“Deserialization error: cookies: invalid type: boolean `true`, expected a string”}” Now I know I have to look at the “cookies” parameter from the body I’m sending
Something that Postman does “live”, without even needing to make the call, is showing you things that are not right. You can see that on the limit and url row at the end the commas have a small red thing under them, that shows that it shouldn’t be there. The same with the extra bracket at the end.
Thanks for this! We're always looking to make the product better and this feedback is super helpful for us. We're going to pass this over to our product team so they can better evaluate things and see if/where this might fit into the roadmap as a future improvement.
We haven't heard back from you in a bit, so we're going to go ahead and close things out here - feel free to let us know if you still need something!
