Now that GPT 5 has options to fine tune it, are you planning on allowing us to select our fine tuned models to use?
We currently support GPT, Claude, and Gemini models through our Use AI feature. You can connect your own API keys for these models, which may reduce costs. We recently introduced GPT-5 as a model option across Clay, including in Claygent. However, our current documentation doesn't mention support for fine-tuned models specifically. We work with the standard models provided by OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. For specific feature requests like fine-tuned model support, you can request human assistance to share this feedback with our product team.

Hey there thanks for reaching out, Clay already supports fine-tuned GPT models when you use your own OpenAI API key! Here's how it works: Current Support for Fine-Tuned Models When you connect your own OpenAI API key to Clay, all models associated with that key - including your custom fine-tuned models - automatically show up in the model selector. This means if you fine-tune GPT-5 (or any other model) through OpenAI's platform, you can use it in Clay right away. Requirements ** You need a paid OpenAI account (any paid tier works - no special tier required) ** You must connect your own API key rather than using Clay's managed models ** For Claygent specifically, you need at least a Tier 2 usage level API key due to the high token throughput requirements 2 How to Set It Up 1. Fine-tune your model in OpenAI's platform 2. In Clay, go to Settings → Connections → Add Connection → Search for OpenAI 3. Add your API key 4. When creating AI workflows, select your API key from the Account dropdown 5. Your custom fine-tuned models will appear in the model selector alongside standard models Current Limitations While Clay supports using your fine-tuned models via API keys, there are a couple of limitations noted in customer feedback: ** Custom GPT Assistants: You can't directly import ChatGPT custom assistants since OpenAI doesn't provide public APIs for those ** *Fine-tuning from Clay UI: While you can use fine-tuned models, the ability to fine-tune directly from Clay's interface is still in development So to answer your question directly: Yes, Clay is already planning to (and does) allow you to select your fine-tuned GPT-5 models - this functionality exists today when you use your own OpenAI API key!
