Hi anyone a good way to normalize job titles?
You can use AI to do that.
Yeah, but looking for a good prompt. And will chatGPT do the job or better claygent?
Either one works. I will send you a prompt, allow me some time.
Great thanks a lot!
Here you go: I want you to normalize the company name. Here is the company name: {Company Name} You can contextualize and double check that name by visiting their website here. {Company Domain } Max Length is 2 words, but a 3 word output is permitted if absolutely necessary. If possible cut down the pointless words out and leave one word. For example if Company is Signify Technology, you can do Signify. If Company name is Career Search International, you can put CSI. If it's CarterMackay Holdings, you can put CarterMackay. As the output I just want the normalized name without anything else. If the first word of the company name is unique, you can just use that word as the name, for example Whistler Partners would be Whistler. Or for example QBE Insurance, just put QBE. If there is a country in the name, remove the country. For example if there is Generali Switzerland as the input, the output is Generali. But the leftover word should not be so general that it doesn't serve as a unique identifier. For example, Health New England should remain as is since "Health" isn't unique enough as a word. But in the case of "Quest Software", you should output "Quest" since it's a unique enough of a company identifier. Be careful to not overly shorten any outputs. If all there are three or more generic words as the input, e.g. electronic discovery institute, use an acronym like EDI. And if there are just two generic words as the input, keep both (e.g. Senior Post). The context is, the output is to replace a {{company name}} variable in a cold email, so it has to naturally fit into sentences like: Curious to hear how this be could be implemented for {{company name}}. Thus do not output any explanation, only the normalized name to replace {{company name}}.
Feel free to make changes as desired.
GPT is enough
Thanks!
Yes open to talk about that
