Success with LinkedIn Automation Tools: Experiences and Recommendations

Has anyone had any success with LinkedIn automation tools? Lead Gen Jay recommended Closely and I've been using that but have recently started getting the doomsday "we've noticed you've been using an automation tool and that's not allowed" message.
