Clarifying Job Postings: Recruiter vs. Hiring Manager Roles

Is it that the job posting has a recruiter (external / internal) or hiring manager associated? Or that the job is specifically being recruited for by a recruitment agency?

    Alex J. if the job posting has a recruiter. The way you can then determine if is an external or internal one is by looking at the industry of the company that posted the job opening. If is "staffing and recruiting," then you know is an external one

    Yeah got that. The company list we're searching from excludes all staffing/outsourcing etc companies But noticed toggling the Has Recruiter on the job search function does impact the results

    yes Alex J., if you activate the 'Has a Recruiter' filter, it will reduce the number of job posts you can see. For example, if there are 100 job openings on LinkedIn and only 20 of them have a recruiter listed on LinkedIn, activating that filter will limit your view to just those 20.
