Hello Clay team. I am setting up a Workbook to keep Hubspot Company-Contact association up to date. To do so I need Clay to process remove associations. Why is not this an option?

Hi Amit. I can use my use case: I am using a Clay agent to contrast the contact record information in Hubspot (company & email) vs. their Linkedin profile to validate if a contact is still in the same company or not.
If the contact is in the same company no action is taken.
If the contact is in a new company I look for their new email address and update the contact in Hubspot.
The issue here is that I would need to remove the association with the old company in Hubspot and associate it to the new company. However Clay does not allow me to remove the association as I explained.

Hey Guillermo! Thanks for breaking that down, I'll note down the remove association as a feature request. Currently, we don't integrate with that action, but I believe you should be able to use an Update Object instead to change the association to a new one. This would mean first creating the new Company Object and then updating the contact association to that new object
Hello Hari. Yes, you could do that but:
You don't want to keep the association with the old company.
If you have a limit of 1 contact associated to 1 company (which I wouls say it should be the case) It would not let you even create that new association...
Hey Guillermo! I see - thanks for that clarity. I'll note this down as feedback as this seems like a needed use case. In the meantime, I'd suggest trying a custom field in hubspot you can call "Clay Match" or something of the such you can use as a proxy here
