hey team. I've been hitting this bug lately where i only get 50 people from a 10k+ company table found within clay. No fancy filteres on the people search, but it comes short almost every time. How can i fix this bug?
This is likely due to the per-company limit setting in your search parameters. By default, there's a limit of up to 100 profiles per company that can be returned in a single search. To fix this, you can adjust the "Limit Results" settings in your search:1. Check your "per company" limit and increase it as needed 2. Verify your overall results limit is set appropriately for your plan tierBased on your plan, you can now get up to:** 2,500 profiles (Free plan) ** 5,000 profiles (Starter plan) ** 25,000 profiles (Explorer plan) ** 50,000 profiles (Pro plan)If you're still seeing fewer results than expected after adjusting these limits, double-check that no other filters are accidentally applied in your search parameters. I have a limit of 5. - This shouldn't be the issue
There seems to be a misunderstanding about the per-company limit setting. When you set a limit of 5 per company, this means you'll only get a maximum of 5 people from each company, regardless of how many employees they actually have.To see more results, you'll need to increase your per-company limit in the "Limit Results" section of your search parameters. You can set this up to 100 people per company.Would you like me to help you adjust these settings to see more results? Source: Find People Overview - Clay University
I just tried to remove the limit. Still only 50 people are found.
This issue could be happening because there might be other search filters or parameters affecting your results. Here's what you can do to resolve this:1. Check if there are any other active filters in your search parameters (like location, job titles, or keywords) that might be limiting your results. 2. Review your overall results limit setting, which is separate from the per-company limit. You can set this up to 50,000 records per search depending on your plan. 3. Try iterating and refining your search by: • Removing any potentially restrictive filters • Previewing the results to ensure they align with your expectations • Adjusting your parameters until you get the desired volumeIf you're still seeing unexpected results after trying these steps, there might be a discrepancy between the preview count and actual importable results due to various filtering factors. There are a few key limits to be aware of in Clay:1. The overall search limit can be set up to 50,000 records per search. 2. When you see a discrepancy between the preview count and actual imported results, it's usually because search filters or limits are being applied, even if you've removed the per-company limit. 3. Each Clay table has a maximum capacity of 50,000 rows and 70 columns. To see more results, make sure to:** Check your overall results limit in the "Limit Results" section ** Review any other active filters that might be restricting your search * Consider breaking up your search into multiple smaller searches if you need more than 50,000 records Source: Find People Overview - Clay University
