I've tried creating a lookalike company table with Ocean.io and restricted the number of results to 10 to make sure everything is running correctly before getting the entire list. However, I only get a single result on one row. I've run it a few times, using new tables, and the results are the same. I've attached screenshots of what I'm seeing. Can someone please help me figure out what's going on? I've run this search numerous times and have never run into this issue before.
This issue could be happening for a few reasons: 1. There might be a filter applied that's restricting your results. Check if you've set any additional filters like specific industries, company sizes, or locations that might be limiting your matches. 2. The Ocean.io integration has a "Limit Results" setting that defaults to 10, but this is a maximum cap rather than a guaranteed number of results. The actual number depends on what matches are found. 3. Try running the integration on different seed companies to see if you get more results. Some companies might have fewer similar matches in the database. 4. If you've previously run this successfully, check if your search parameters have changed or if there are new restrictions in your workflow. If the problem persists after checking these items, request human assistance for more specific troubleshooting.
I also tried running an Ocean.io enrichment in a single cell and writing the company results to a separate table, but received an error.
Hey Brandon, thanks for reaching out! You can absolutely use our "Send table data" action to move the results of an Ocean.io search from one table to another — the video below walks through that process. That said, this particular source is a bit interesting. After re-running it and increasing the limit to 100 rows, it's still only returning a single row. I’m going to dig into this further to see if it's a bug or something else going on under the hood. Will report back shortly once I’ve tested a bit more!
Owen C. - thanks for your reply! I wasted a bunch of Clay credits on trying to get this to work - any chance I can get a refund?
Would love to help! Which tables did you test this on just so I can get an accurate number for a refund. :)
Sweet! Just refunded these credits for you, let us know if there's anything else we can assist with! :)
Thank you, Owen C.! I really appreciate your help
Of course, feel free to reach out with any other questions or concerns. :)
