Frustrations with Email Waterfall Issues on Clay: Need Workaround Solutions

Bo (. .... What is the deal with the waterfalls man? I had to get like 20k credits refunded last month because the email waterfall broke and now here I am and the same thing is happening? Isn't the email waterfall like the most popular feature on Clay?? How am I running into this so often - Am I the only one? This is really frustrating... You can refund me the 5k+ credits I've wasted but that doesn't account for the time, the headache, or the credits I'm using with leadmagic. What workaround do I need to do so that a simple email waterfall works the first time and I don't have to ask for a bunch of credits refunded and waste time with an out of the box broken waterfall?

    My plan expires tonight and I have over 50k credits that won't roll over. I'm staying after work late to use the last of these credits on the last night before the plan ends, and I run into this.... Can you please extend my plan 1 one more day so that I can get back to this tomorrow?

    What's worth far more to me than the 5k credits I wasted here is that my account gets an extension so that I can keep the 50k credits I have for one more day and work on this tomorrow night.. Can this be done please?

    Hey there Luke really sorry that you are running into this UI discrepancy, will let the team know. Taking a look though the table, the Validation does seem to be working and taking in the values correctly, but will let the team know. Also have gone and extended your credits for two more days so that you can use your credits. If you run into any issues you can follow up with us.

    Hey LuisArturo, thanks for the reply. I'm confused though, how can you say the validation is working correctly, none of the Email fields are filled in for any of the LeadMagic validations? This is what I'm showing in the screenshot. Also, I'm still seeing that my plan will be cancelled today from the banner at the top of my page. Can you please confirm this won't happen?

    I see that it was just a UI problem now. I panicked... but in my defense this hasn't worked before so my assumption that the waterfall actually broke isn't too out there. 🙂 thank you for addressing this and for the extension. ❤️

I recorded a quick video to go over the waterfall logic again, and see whether you're still facing issues with it in this table.     Bruno R. thanks for the video. 🙂 Like I said, after careful inspection I see the logic was correct. The reason I sent the message last night and claimed it wasn't was because I saw that every single email validation column had empty fields, so I just assumed I wasted a bunch of credits.

    Hey Luke, I’m really sorry for the stress this Thursday, and I’m here to help! 😊 Yes, using Clay can get tricky, especially with large tables and multiple runs that stop and start between sessions, but we’re working hard to improve this every day. Recent Changes in ChatGPT: I’ve sent your concerns to the team and will get back to you once I hear from them. It’s likely due to model updates, etc. In the meantime, you could try editing the column and referencing the new value. For example: If /is_ecommerce and /is ecommerce are present, return their value. Dealing with Software Bugs: I checked your table, and the Good Fit column seems to be fixed. I ran a sample with a company like Tablevogue, and it looks good. If you’re dealing with large tables, the results may take time to load, or you may have already fixed the right column reference. Clay | Prime5 - Accounts - 19 September 2024: Since you’re on a Free plan, you can’t add new API keys for enrichments. However, since you already have them in your table, they’ll still work to avoid disrupting your workflow. You’ll need to upgrade for new API key usage. Waterfall Issue: I didn’t see the waterfall present anymore. It might have been saved later, or the auto-update triggered some rows. If you run into this again, could you film the process for us—showing how it auto-updates after new data is added? I couldn’t replicate it on my end.     Bo (. thank you for the response. 1️⃣ I fixed the good fit column myself, yes. But like I said, just think you guys should be aware that's happening. 2️⃣ I'm not supposed to be on the free plan. I'm supposed to be on the $800 a month plan. I asked in this thread if I could have an extension due to the fact that I planned on using the remainder of my credits yesterday, when my $800 plan was active, and then I wouldn't be having any issues with APIs or anything like that... So it's not fair that I'm on the free plan today. If Clay did what I paid for it to do yesterday I would have been done yesterday. 3️⃣ Not sure where you got 100 credits from. I had 237 people go through a mobile waterfall where the first provider cost 2 credits and the last provider cost 25 credits so 500 would not cover it. But I'm not looking for credits. I just want to use the ones I have in my account now which has been such a pain in the butt. I deleted the mobile waterfall since it was only causing issues. You can see in my video though that the waterfall's auto-update is set to off. Unless I'm being accused of lying then there should be no need to recreate it because it's very simple to understand what happened: I put 237 people into the table and it ran the waterfall for them when it shouldn't have. Not looking for any help with 1️⃣ or 3️⃣ anymore, but it does seem fair that I get access to the $800 plan for another day so that I can access any features I need to use the last of these credits. Again, I wouldn't need to be asking this if I was able to just do what I needed to last night.
