I'm running into issues when I try mapping a text field from a company table to a person table. Is there any work around? I've tried matching them but then I can't get the text to populate. LMK
To resolve this issue, you can use the "Write to Table" integration to map your text fields. Here's how: 1. Click the "Add Enrichment" button in the top right corner of your page 2. Search for and select "Write to Table" integration 3. Map your existing text fields from the company table to the corresponding columns in your people table Once set up, whenever you add new company data, simply rerun the lookup in your people table to pull the enriched company data. This ensures your people table has the most up-to-date company information.
Is that what you were looking for?
it's not even showing as an option to import to the table OR export when I go to export the people
This issue could be related to your API key setup. To resolve this: 1. First, make sure you have a valid Clay API key - you'll need this to create an integration account and use the Write to Table feature. 2. If you're still not seeing the option, try these troubleshooting steps: • Delete the affected column • Create a fresh column • Re-map your data to the write-to-other table • Ensure auto-dedup is activated in the other table You can find your Clay API key by following the guide at clay.com/university/lesson/guide-find-clay-api-key.
Did that answer your question?

the column I'm looking to add isn't populating as a column to use

Hi Jerry, thank you for reaching out. Jerry - Do you mind sending the link (url) to the table so we can take a look?
Which column are you trying to add?

Hi, in this case then, have you tried using a Lookup function?
I tried but was getting stuck
Understood. This video explains how to set up and use a lookup function in 2 minutes. I suggest using a unique identifier such as LinkedIn URL or company domain in order to find the row you are looking for. Let me know if this helps!
so I'm able to match the columns, but I'm unable to push the job description into the table
OH Wait, hold on
Hi, once you match the columns in a lookup function, you can just do the following. To view all the rows imported from your Lookup enrichment, follow these steps: First, click on any cell within your enrichment. In the example below, I am expanding the "Lookup Single Row" enrichment, but this works the same for any enrichment containing a JSON object.
In the menu that appears on the right, hover over the column you want to view. Then, select "Add as Column," give your column a name, and click "Create New Column." In the example below, I am creating a column to display the query, called "Query".
Once you do this, a new column will automatically populate with the desired information. In the example below, you can see that the "Query" column has been created.
Let me know if this helps!
oh wow okay, that is very non obvious hahaha, but thank you!
Did it end up working?
yup!
thanks so much
Superb! Let us know if you need anything else :)
one more Q- do you all have teh ability to edit existing searches? or do I need to start from scratch every time haha
You can edit an existing search by selecting the column header, then hovering over "Sources" and selecting the source you wish to change. Following this, a menu should appear to your right and you can select "Edit Source". Let me know if this helps.
amazing.
thank you so much
Happy to help!
