Lol same here. I had a feeling they wouldn’t revert it … humans are adaptable so I guess we just get used to it. Still think the old version is better tho
Glad to see I'm not the only person who has major beef with this. I want to flag this in as many channels as possible so the humans on the UX/UI team can actually hear the concern. I posted this in the Clay experts group, I've also reached out to George D. directly and he thankfully said he will pass this on to the team. If anyone on the UI/UX team is seeing this : PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for the love of God bring back the old version. I know I'm going to sound an asshole, why fix something that's not broken? This workflow is a far inferior experience for me due to the following reasons.
No more custom arrangement & sorting.
Hopefully other users resonate with this, we use GTM Engineering to rapidly iterate & validate market hypothesis. So there will be tables focusing on 1 aspect of the GTM motion, and other tables that are focusing on another aspect.
This new system just jumbled up everything for us. Now I need to dig through the folders to find where in the hell my stuff is. I'm spending more damn time finding where my tables are instead of working on the tables.
Imagine you're working in a warehouse. Wouldn't it make so much sense to divide sections based on each customers so workers can find it easily? This new system is like someone coming in and saying nah, we're gonna sort everything alphabetically. There you go : have a harder time finding where stuff is for each specific customer.
No dropdown menu
The previous version was beautiful. I could access all my folders and sub-folders from the main page, and no need to keep doing down the folder rabbit hole like Google Drive.
George D. told me that the team's logic was to make it similar to Google Drive, but I don't think the team realized. CLAY IS NOT GOOGLE DRIVE. The users don't use it like Google Drive.
We have all kinds of relationships, lookups, and pushes from one table to another. Clay's user experience is best when we can rapidly jump from one table to another, and this UI makes it incredibly difficult for us to do that.
If you're experiencing similar frustrations, can we please make enough noise so the team can hear our feedback and revert this unnecessary update?
