Troubleshooting HubSpot Contact Links in Imported Tables

Hubspot questions I’ve imported 3 tables: deal, company and contacts What I’m trying to do is find the contacts associated with a deal (which exists on Hubspot) but somehow cannot see on Clay. Company table has the Deal Name Deal table doesn’t have the Contact name Neither Company nor Deal have Contact(s) associated with them It’s not in any of the general JSON and I can’t extrapolate from first/last name/email from one table to another because the data is missing. Is this a common issue? Is there a workaround or something else I should be doing?

This is a common issue with HubSpot's object relationships. When you import separate tables, the associations between deals, companies, and contacts aren't automatically pulled in.
You can use our HubSpot integration's "Create association" action to link these objects together. [1] We also have a "Retrieve and Create Association" feature that helps build complete CRM relationships between objects. [2]
What specific relationship are you trying to establish - do you want to connect existing deals to their associated contacts, or are you looking to find which contacts belong to specific deals?

Trying the create association and it’s not imported the Object ID so can’t do anything with this sadly

You need the Object ID to create associations. Try using the "Retrieve associated objects" action instead - this pulls existing associations from HubSpot using the Object ID from your deal or company table. [1]
If your imported tables don't have Object IDs, you'll need to re-import with "Include read-only properties" enabled, which should bring in the HubSpot Object IDs. [2]

I found the object IDs in the JSON for all 3 (deal, company, contact)

Perfect! Now you can use the "write to table" feature to triangulate the relationships. [1]
Set up a "write to table" enrichment from one table to another using the Object IDs as your matching criteria. [2] For example, if your deal table has company Object IDs, you can write those deals to your company table to establish the connection.
Which Object IDs do you see in each table - are there company IDs in your deal table or deal IDs in your contact table?

Since each table only has its own Object ID, you need to retrieve the associated Object IDs from HubSpot. Use the HubSpot "Lookup object" action on one table to pull the associated Object IDs from the other objects. [2]
For example, run a HubSpot lookup on your deal table to retrieve associated company and contact Object IDs, then use "write to table" to map those relationships across your tables. [3]

Yes I need assistance because when I do a lookup I cannot do it from another table

You need to run the HubSpot lookup from within the table that contains the Object ID you want to use for the lookup. [1]
For example, if you want to find contacts associated with deals, go to your deal table and add a HubSpot "Lookup object" enrichment there using the deal Object ID column. This will pull the associated contact Object IDs into your deal table.
Once you have those associated Object IDs, you can use "write to table" to map that data to your other tables. [2]
