What's the best way to get mobile-app download data inside of Clay? I'm not seeing any providers in Clay (like App Annie, SimilarWeb, Google Play, etc.) that provide this data point within Clay. But, I'm assuming other people have built this workflow before, so just looking for the best-practice here. Thanks in advance!
You can use our HTTP API feature to connect to any tool that you have API access to, including mobile app data providers like App Annie or SimilarWeb. [1]
If you have access to external sources that offer API options, you can leverage them within Clay via the HTTP API integration as long as they offer compatible API endpoints. [2]
Alternatively, you can use webhooks to import data from external sources or intermediary platforms like Zapier or Make.com to automate data imports into your Clay workflows. [3]

I don't currently have access to any APIs that have this data. I was hoping to find this data inside of Clay (natively) and use Clay credits.
Unfortunately, mobile app download data providers like App Annie or SimilarWeb aren't currently available as Clay-managed integrations that you can access with Clay credits. [3] You would need your own API access to these services to pull this data into Clay via our HTTP API feature.

Brendan S. If i understood you correctly, you want to see how many downloads an app has? If so, have you tried apify?
Yes, Apify is available in Clay! You can use our Apify source to pull data from any specified actor run or the latest actor run. [1]
You'll find it in the Source Modal under "other". If you want your table to automatically update with data from future runs, don't specify a particular run as input.
This could be a good option for getting mobile app download data if there's an Apify actor that scrapes this information from app stores or other sources.

Leo B. - you mean to have apify scrape google play or something?
Yes, exactly! You can use Apify to scrape Google Play Store or Apple App Store for mobile app download data. [1]
Here's how it works:
1. Browse Apify's actor library to find scrapers that target app stores - they have specialized actors for different platforms
2. Create a task in Apify for the specific scraper you want to use [2]
3. Connect it to Clay by selecting "Run Apify Actor" in your enrichments and configuring the JSON input data
This lets you pull app download numbers, ratings, and other app store data directly into Clay using our credits. [3]
Did that answer your question?
i was hoping to find a data provider (like similarweb, etc.) that has these custom data sets (chatgpt/claygent work for google play) because i'm hoping to go a layer deeper and get metrics like MAUs or proxies for that.
