for the job change signal, what is the level of data freshness? if I run it for someone who changed jobs five days ago, should it fire correctly?

Job change signals rely on third-party data providers that refresh on a rolling basis with a full update cycle taking about 2–3 weeks. For someone who changed jobs five days ago, the signal may not fire immediately since the data providers may not have refreshed their records yet.
For the most current data, use "Enrich Person from Profile" which pulls information in real time and is much closer to the current state of a person's profile.

Job change signals cost 0.2 credits per check (monitoring cost), plus 5 credits per result when a job change is detected. [1] [2]
"Enrich Person from Profile" costs 1 credit per enrichment and provides real-time data. [3]
For cost efficiency, signals are better for ongoing monitoring, while direct enrichment is cheaper for one-time data pulls.
